Snow football is pretty great, isn't it?

Denver and Indianapolis are now officially in the playoffs, though Indy did it by virtue of clinching the division on a Tennessee loss and a clinched tiebreaker. They could wind up at 8-8 and with a worse record than at least one AFC wildcard team. On the other side of that Tennessee loss was Denver, who is also officially in now.

In the NFC, the teams in wildcard position are now both 9-4, eliminating any teams with 8 losses. This week, that included St. Louis, Minnesota, and New York. It didn't even occur to me that the Rams might be eliminated until I was watching the bonus coverage of the San Francisco-Seattle game, and realized that between Seattle, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Carolina, it was going to take 9 wins and a tiebreaker to make it.
