The NFL's gotta get better at predicting the good teams if they're going to continue to have Thursday night games through most of the season. Neither Cleveland nor Buffalo is as bad as the Rams, but it's not a very compelling matchup against game 1 of the NLDS. But, the Browns outperformed my projection and beat Buffalo, doubling their Superbowl odds to 2.4%.

Every team gets one Thursday game. The NFL was just getting Cleveland and Buffalo out of the way early.
ReplyDeleteI had to go look that up, because I was sure I'd have caught on to that before if it were true. Sure enough, including the 3 on Thanksgiving, everybody gets 1, and Denver/Baltimore's opener was a second Thursday game for each. Thanks for pointing that out.
