NCAA Football Power Rankings, Week 7

This was a slightly curious week at the top of my rankings. Ohio State was on bye, but held on to their #1 spot. One reason for that is that #2 Florida lost, but they also held their position. SMU and Auburn, my previous #3 and #4, also had a bye but dropped to #11 and #14. Replacing them in the playoff position is Wisconsin and Boise state.

4 undefeated teams lost this week. I already mentioned Florida, but there was also a huge upset of Georgia. Memphis lost to Temple, and Wake Forest lost to Louisville.

There's a slight glimmer of hope for Missouri's postseason with that Georgia loss. They'll have to keep winning, though, which they did over Ole Miss this week to reach #17, up from #23.

All three winless teams stayed winless, and Akron refuses to let go of the #130 spot.
