Detroit became the AL favorite with a 1-0 win to take a 1-0 lead against Boston. St. Louis also won 1-0, to go up 2-0, and are overwhelming favorites to win that series. You may have read by now that yesterday was the first time in history 2 LCS games were won 1-0 in the same day. That's a relatively small sample, since the LCS has only been around 45 years, and this year will have, at most, 4 days with multiple games. Still, baseball writers love to trot out any "firsts" that come about.
