The Cardinals have spoiled me over the last 5 years, to the point that this NLDS exit felt disappointing. But 100 wins and a playoff appearance is an outstanding season for many teams, so I won't complain. In the other NLDS, LA tied up the series, which will have a deciding game 5 tomorrow. Chicago will start out the NLCS favored over either opponent they may face. Both ALDS game 5s are tonight. I'll be rooting for Kansas City and Toronto, but an all-Texas ALCS could be interesting too, so mostly I'll just enjoy the games.
I never look at these posts through the website, only through my reader, so I was delightfully surprised to see color in that table!
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I'd prefer to see the Astros play the Dodgers. I've never cared for the Mets, and I want the Cubs to not head to the World Series only because it is their legacy.
Yeah, I'm kind of rooting against the Cubs to keep their 100+ year streak going. Saying that today just sounded like it was coming from a bitter fan of their rival, though. I was also against the Red Sox in 2004 for the same reasons, and not just because they wound up playing the Cardinals, too.
