In a single day's games, both league favorites were supplanted, and Toronto is back on top. St. Louis and Los Angeles will need to pull off road victories today to stay alive, and avoid having an NLCS of a third place team vs the third best division winner. That's a cynical way to look at the very strong NL Central this year, but it's not inaccurate. Today I'll be rooting for LA, simply to take the other series to 5 games and avoid any rest advantage should St. Louis win their series.
