I must admit, I was dead tired last night, and went to bed after the end of the 7th inning in the Cardinals game. I'm not the type to give up on a game; I stayed up for Game 6 of the World Series last year, a day before many St. Louisans woke up to find the series wasn't over yet. I actually woke up in the middle of the night curious about the result, but decided not to drag myself out of bed to check. Needless to say, I woke up to a happy result, and the Cardinals are back in the NLCS. On the AL side, I really wanted to see Baltimore extend their improbable season, but it was not to be.

I give the Cardinals a 56.57% chance of beating the Giants, but the Yankees have over a 60% chance of beating Detroit. Those numbers "feel" about right, since the strength isn't based off of records, but runs scored and runs allowed.
