The slightly stronger Giants beat the Mets, lowering everyone else's World series chances just a bit, depending on which round they would meet the winner of the NL Wildcard game. Chicago and Boston remain on top, and I think even a 1-0 deficit by Chicago may still keep them favored to make the NLCS.
Today the American League Division Series begin. I've got Toronto and Boston favored. None of them are a team I particularly like or dislike, but I suppose I'll root for Boston for David Ortiz to keep his farewell (maybe) tour alive a little longer, and Texas just to keep the ALCS from being an all-AL East affair.
