eBay Wins #195

Today I've got a 6-pack of cards slightly older than me, from 1981 Topps.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I keep my collection in sleeves in 3-row boxes, sorted by year. I'm always extra pleased to add a card to the first box, and especially pleased to add them to the first row. Right now that first row is any card pre-1985. It only takes 1988 - and alphabetically earlier than Topps - to make the first box, so that's not as difficult to accomplish.

Of these 6, only Eric Rasmussen played for the Cardinals, though well before I would remember him. He played for St. Louis from 1975-1978, and like I've said before, I started paying attention to baseball in 1992. I don't know much about the other players, but I was curious whether Glenn Hoffman could have been related to Trevor Hoffman. Sure enough, they are brothers, with Glenn about 10 years older.
