I must admit, I didn't know Mick Kelleher played for the Cardinals. And he did it twice! Once from 1972-73, and again for 1975. It was only 73 games total, so he wasn't a huge star, hence the availability of this 33 year old card for just a penny.
Mick played for the Angels in 1982, but didn't play in 1983, so this card could be considered a "final tribute", though obviously not on purpose. One hitch in that classification is that he played at AAA Las Vegas in 1983, clearly trying to make it back to the big league.
