I only started tracking my Stanley Cup projections right before the end of the 2nd round, so I'll only include the final two rounds in my recap. I started off with the right winner, as Pittsburgh was projected most likely to win at the beginning of the Conference finals. But as they lost and other teams won, St Louis, Tampa, and San Jose were all favored at one point or another
Worst position for Pittsburgh:
16% on May 20, down 2-1 in the Conference finals
Best position for San Jose:
47.3% on May 26, having won the Western Conference and still waiting for game 7 in the Eastern Conference.
Best position for a Conference Finals loser:
Tampa Bay, with 34.7% on May 23, up 3-2 in the Conference Finals
And here are the final playoff results for 2016.
